“A question that has been asked a lot .. Yes we will remain dog friendly.

“If we can kindly ask to please ensure dogs are on lead at all times when visiting and for the consideration of others no dogs on the furniture please .. Water and treats available for your pooches .

“We will also have one area of the pub that will remain pet free for the guests that prefer so.”

“Thank you and see you all soon.”

Opening hours for the pub will be as follows:

Following a soft opening in April, he told the Post: “What an opening weekend we have had. Met some wonderful people.

“It’s been a learning curve for sure, lots of nice comments and lots of constructive feedback.

“We are most certainly excited about the future and we look forward to the challenge ahead.”

Before this, in October 2023 management at Bretherton’s Blue Anchor made the sad announcement on their socials that after a 20-year tenure, they were stepping down.
