M6 delays of 50 minutes and 5 miles of congestion after lanes closure between Leyland and Wigan
All lanes have reopened but delays remain on approach...
Motorists faced delays of up to 50 minutes on the M6 after a broken down car blocked lanes this morning.

The incident affected the northbound carriageway between junction 27 at Standish and junction 28 at Leyland.
Lanes two and three were initially closed, partially blocking the motorway and causing severe disruption for drivers.
National Highways said all lanes have since reopened, but warned delays of 50 minutes and five miles of congestion remain on approach.
Earlier updates showed average speeds of around 10mph between junctions 27 and 28.
