'An incredibly proud moment'- Preston's Liv Caffè confirms opening of second branch on Fishergate
“The support we’ve received from the Preston community has been incredible, and it’s that support that’s allowed us to take this next step.”
The team behind a new cafe opening on Fishergate say they are “incredibly proud” of their brand’s growth in Preston.
Over the past few weeks, we have been sharing the mysterious goings on at 8 Fishergate, the former Past Times Store.
Hoardings had been put up in early October announcing that a new business was preparing to open in the empty unit and that the public were invited to guess what it would be.
Last weekend however, the hoardings came off at last to reveal that inside looked to be a second branch of the Preston wellness café Liv, which first opened on Pole Street last summer.

Pleased to confirm the news, Adnaan Seedat, one of the team behind the Liv, told the Post: “Opening our second LIV Caffè is an incredibly proud moment for us. When we first started, our vision was always to create something more than just your typical café. We wanted to build a brand that brings together great-quality food and drinks, wellness and a genuine sense of community.
“At the heart of LIV is the belief that enjoying the things you love and making healthier choices shouldn’t have to be mutually exclusive. From our açaí bowls and superfood smoothies to our matcha and speciality drinks, we’ve always tried to bring something different to Preston, often putting our own healthier twist on familiar favourites.
“With our second location, we’re excited to take that vision even further, introducing a new range of fresh salads and wellness-inspired juices alongside the products our customers already know and love.”
Liv first opened in The Exchange building on Pole Street in August 2025 and that branch brings together both a cafe, called Liv Caffé , and a health clinic, called Liv Health.
Aadnan, who runs the business alongside his lifelong friends Aadil, Muaawiya, Yaasim and Yusuf, all from Preston- confirmed that their new Fishergate location will just be a Liv Caffé but Liv Health’s offerings are still available at Pole Street.
Adnaan, who is also a trained pharmacist, explained: “Our vision for LIV has always extended beyond food and drink. Through LIV Health, our dedicated health clinic offering services including private blood testing and vitamin injections, alongside plans to introduce further health and wellbeing services, we’re looking to build a brand that supports people’s wellbeing in more ways than one.
“For us, it’s about making wellness more accessible and becoming a positive part of people’s everyday lives, whether that’s through the food they eat, the drinks they enjoy or the health services they choose to access.”

Speaking to the Post last year, Aadnan said the team opened Liv as they wanted to ”bring something back to Preston”, all five of them having grown up or studied in the city.
They certainly have been successful in that so far- their Pole Street branch has proved so popular over the past year that it has directly encouraged them to expand.
Their second branch isn’t even the end of their ambitions for the city, with Adnaan telling the Post that they hope the expansion of Liv can inspire other businesses to invest in Preston too.

Adnaan said: “As a homegrown, Preston-based business, giving back to the city that has supported us is incredibly important. We believe a thriving high street is at the heart of any successful city. It’s more than just a place to shop or eat; it’s a reflection of the city’s energy, ambition and sense of community.
“We want to see Preston city centre continue to grow into a vibrant destination, attracting exciting brands, supporting independent businesses and giving people more reasons to visit, spend time and enjoy what our city has to offer. For us, opening on the high street is about playing our own small part in that vision, investing in Preston and helping create the kind of city centre we can all be proud of.
“The support we’ve received from the Preston community has been incredible, and it’s that support that’s allowed us to take this next step. We’re excited to continue growing LIV, creating new opportunities and hopefully inspiring others to invest in our city too.
“This is another exciting chapter for LIV, and hopefully just the beginning of what we want to achieve.”
The new Liv Caffé on Fishergate will officially open on Saturday, November 8.
A soft launch will take place on Friday night with local businesses and those who took part in the ‘Guess the business’ game.
