I am absolutely heartbroken - owner of The Little Croft sandwich shop in Ribble Valley announces sad closure
The owner announced the sad news on social media on Monday.
The owner of a beloved sandwich shop and deli nestled in the Ribble Valley has taken to Facebook to announce the sudden closure with ‘immediate effect’.

The Little Croft, located at 98 Whalley Road, Langho, which specialises in home cooked food such as fresh sandwiches, salads and deli delights, has ceased trading after two years.

In a moving post, owner Deborah said she had tears in her eyes while informing her meany customers.
She said: “It is with a heavy heart, and tears in my eyes as I write this, that I have some very sad news to share with you all. This isn't an easy post to make,
“After two wonderful years and with immediate effect, I will be closing my little sandwich shop here in Langho and saying goodbye to a little part of my business that has meant the absolute world to me!
“This is not a decision I thought I'd ever have to make, and I am absolutely heartbroken that my time here has come to an end in this way.
“What makes it even harder is not being able to give my lovely customers the notice and farewell that you all deserve.”
While not going into in-depth detail she added that her reasoning was to do with issues ‘behind the scenes’.
She added: “I've been fighting to stay and lived with harassment in a way I didn't know possible. I now realise it's not worth losing your health over.
“While this chapter is ending sooner than I hoped, we've achieved amazing things in this community and for that I'm eternally grateful.
“From the bottom of my heart, thank you to every single person who has walked through my door, bought a sandwich, stopped for a chat, recommended me to a friend, or supported me in any way.
“Many of you started as customers and quickly became friends, and I will treasure those friendships and the memories we have made together, forever!
“This little shop has been so much more than a business.
“It has been a place filled with laughter, conversations, kindness and community and I feel incredibly lucky to have shared that with all of you.
“To my amazing and loyal staff, I couldn't be more proud or grateful!”
Pre-bookings
She added that anyone who had already booked a buffet, platters or outside catering, that this would still go ahead as planned from her new ‘gorgeous new bakery space’.
She teased: “Keep an eye out for our homemade pies, sausage rolls, meals and, of course, Caroline's famous carrot cake!
“Don't forget, you'll still be able to find all your favourites at our cosy coffee shop and cafe, The Croft, based at Stydd Gardens in Ribchester!
“I am sad to be saying goodbye, but I wanted you all to know how grateful I am for your support, loyalty, and friendship over the last two years. You helped make my dream a reality, and for that I will always be thankful!
“Finally, this is absolutely not the end!
“Watch this space, who knows where we might pop up next!
“With love and gratitude, Deborah.”
