Meet Pop Pair father and son duo from Fulwood who are selling homemade popcorn from their kitchen
The duo came up with the business idea while on holiday.
A father and son from Lancashire who have recently launched a popcorn business from their kitchen are already winning rave reviews.
Pop Pair is the brainchild of Andy Dickinson, 41, and his 11-year-old son Ethan who are on a mission to bring their customers the freshest, tastiest popcorn around.

What’s even more impressive is that the dynamic duo were on holiday when the idea came to fruition.
Andy, who has two jobs - a wedding videographer and a drinks dispense technician in Kirkham, said: “We were at a holiday home at Clumber Park in Nottingham and I asked Ethan would he like to start a business selling some sweets and he replied saying no as there are already a lot of people doing it.
“I then suggested popcorn and he agreed.
“We never made it before so it seemed impossible but I started using Google and ChatGPT to teach educate and teach myself on it and I also bought some supermarket brands.
“I started using the hob which took half an hour to make one bag of popcorn, but now we have a machine which sorts three bags in an hour.”

While on holiday Andy got to work sortinging hygiene ratings and posting in local Facebook groups and setting up their Pop Pair Facebook page asking people if they would like a popcorn delivery service and the overwhelming response was positive.
The pair then started posting videos of popcorn popping in a pan with the sauces being put over it.
Andy added: “I thought to myself it needs to be better than just putting sauce on in a bag and so I learnt how to sugar glaze the popcorn.
“The response has been amazing so far. We visited Queen’s Drive Primary School in Preston and it sold out.
“We have a few more events coming up and have been invited to do a pop up at the Dessert Cabin in Preston in a couple of weeks.”
The popcorn is made with mushroom kernels which is larger and healthier than yellow popcorn or butterfly varieties. Bags are £2.50 each and you can choose from sweet, salted or sweet and salted.
What’s the most popular flavour? Andy added: “The most popular is definitely sweet. Once we perfect the three flavours we have at the minute we want to start making a medley of Movie Night popcorn boxes with various sweets and chocolate in them.
“The long term goal would be to have pop up stores on seafronta etc and have other people set up events using our brand.”
