We promise it’ll be worth the wait - reopening date for Broughton Inn pub in Preston pushed back after find
The popular pub in Preston shut laat month for a refurbishment.
The reopening of a pub in Preston which closed last month for a refurbishment has been pushed back due to additional structural improvements needing carried out.

The Broughton Inn pub: Country Pub and Dining, located on 502 Garstang Road is currently undergoing an exciting refurb and was due to reopen this month.

A spokesperson for the business previously said: “Big changes are coming to The Broughton Inn…We’re getting a fresh new look and we can’t wait to show you!
“You may already spot a few changes appearing around the pub as we prepare for an exciting new chapter at The Broughton Inn.”

Providing a fresh update this week, a spokesperson for the business said that while the refurb takes shape they have uncovered a few additional structural improvements that need sorting.
They said: “We know you’re all looking forward to seeing The Broughton Inn reopen, and believe us, we’re looking forward to welcoming you back just as much.
“As work has continued, we’ve uncovered a few additional structural improvements that simply couldn’t be left unfinished.
“Whilst we’d love to throw the doors open as soon as possible, it’s important to us that when we do welcome you back, the pub is completed to the highest standard and, most importantly, safe for our guests and team.”
The pub, which had been earmarked to reopen on June 13 will now reopen in July.
They added: “The transformation is really starting to come together, and our sights are set on reopening in July.
“Thank you for your patience, support and understanding throughout. We promise it’ll be worth the wait.”
“The Broughton Inn Team.”
Temporary traffic lights
Due to the delays, the temporary lights in place outside the pub since May 11 will now be in place for an extended period.
