Mamma Mia! Here We Go Again was released in cinemas in July 2018, 10 years after the first movie, which hit screens back in 2008. But fans of both the film franchise and ABBA’s music can now celebrate, as it will soon be making its way to Netflix.

Here’s everything you need to know.

The sequel, starring Lily James, Amanda Seyfried, Julie Walters, Colin Firth and Cher, will be available to watch on Netflix on Friday 26 June.

The second film combines past and present, picking up five years on from Sophie (Amanda Seyfried) and Sky’s (Dominic Cooper) wedding, as the couple put the finishing touches to a reopening party of the old hotel that belonged to mum, Donna (Meryl Streep).

Alongside this, the sequel sees the characters travel back in time to remember how young Donna (Lily James) fell in love with the Greek island of Kalokairi, with flashbacks of her and best friends Tanya (Jessica Keenan Wynn) and Rosie (Alexa Davies).

Also hitting Netflix on 26 June is Eurovision Song Contest: The Story of Fire Saga (2020), which is a new parody movie featuring Rachel McAdams and Will Ferrell.

Season two of Ryan Murphy’s hilarious comedy-drama The Politician will come to Netflix on 19 June.
