Calling all home bakers! Applications for the next series of The Great British Bake Off are now open

There are people who bake. And then there are people who really bake. The ones who make their own bread when the supermarket is two minutes away. Who turn up to birthdays with a cake that’s taller than the birthday boy. Or who shudder at the thought of a shop bought shortcrust. If that sounds like you, we’d like a word. We’re searching for the next batch of brilliant home bakers, ready to swap their kitchen counter for the famous white tent!

You don’t need to be perfect, nobody is. What matters is having the enthusiasm to keep learning, developing your skills, and taking on new challenges.

When completing your application form, be sure to include as much information as possible. Tell us about you and your baking. What do you love to bake? What’s your baking story? And what makes your bakes, and you, stand out?

Show us what you can do. Include photographs of your bakes so we can see the range of things you make.

Let your personality come through. We love seeing your videos. Have fun with it! It’s a fantastic opportunity to tell us a little more about yourself and bring your application to life.

Applied before? Give it another go! Every baker has their own route to the tent, and a previous application doesn’t have to be the end of your baking journey. If you’ve got new bakes, new stories to tell or simply feel ready to have another crack at it, we’d love to hear from you.

Applications are open to all UK residents, including the Isle of Man and Channel Islands. You must be aged 16 or over by 1st January 2027. Full details, including entry rules and terms, are available at www.applyforbakeoff.co.uk.

The closing date for applications is 1pm on Friday 11th December 2026. Don’t leave it until the last minute, give yourself plenty of time to put your application together and show us what you can do.

If you haven’t heard from a member of the Love Productions team by Friday 12th February 2027, unfortunately your application has been unsuccessful this time.
