Senior reporter Aimee Seddon with her entertainment guide to three best things to do next week in Preston, Chorley and South Ribble
Preston

First in Preston, The Duke of Lancaster's Regiment will host a special anniversary event on Saturday, July 4 to celebrate 20 years since their formation.
From 11am there will be a ceremonial parade through the city centre to the Flag Market, followed by a families day at Fulwood Barracks from 12pm.
There will be live music, fairground rides, food vendors, a chance to meet soldiers and to explore military equipment.
The event at the barracks will be free, including free fairground rides for all.
Chorley

Over in Chorley, Adlington Carnival returns between Friday, July 3 and Sunday, July 5.
Taking place at Jubilee playing fields, there will be stage entertainment, food and drink, community stalls and a fairground.
Friday night is bingo night and there’s discounted rides on the fairground too.
Saturday is then parade day with all parade donations going to Adlington Inspire Youthzone, followed by a patrons night.
Finally Sunday features a carnival dog show, football tournament and battle of the pubs tug of war.
A £5 programme allows entry for one person for Saturday and Sunday, plus theirs vouchers for food & rides.
South Ribble

Finally, in South Ribble, Lostock Hall Carnival also returns on Saturday, July 4.
The annual event brings the village together for an incredible day of fun, colour and community.
Expect a colourful carnival procession - this year’s theme being ‘countries around the world’-, a 5k running race, wacky races, a fairground (which is also open on Friday), an artisan craft market, dog show, a DJ and live performers.
The event is free, just turn up.
