Spooky rides at light railway
The popular attraction is celebrating Hallowe’en on Sunday. Steam trains will run as normal through the day from 11.30am until 4pm. And then when it gets dark steam-hauled team-hauled Hallowe’en Specials will operate from 5.00pm until 6.30pm.
Families should keep a look out for The Tarleton Terror, The Barmy Bishop of Becconsall, The Headless Horserider from Hundred End, The Girlie Ghoul from Hoole, and The Hound from Hell during their visit.

Hide AdTickers for the trains are £2.50 for adults, £1.50 for children and £6 for a family.
The West Lancashire Light Railway is a short 2’ gauge line situated at Hesketh Bank, between Preston and Southport.
The line runs over a clay pit which once served as a brickworks, by the old West Lancashire Railway.
The Railway is open every Sunday and Bank Holiday from Easter to the end of October, and on advertised Saturdays/Sundays in December for ‘Santa Specials’.

Exclusive special steamings can be arranged on days when the Railway is not open to the public.
Free car parking is available on site. The no. 2 Preston-Southport bus passes the entrance to the Railway.
