Here is the team news from both camps.

PNE

Jamal Lewis was the only player ruled out of the game by manager Paul Heckingbottom. That is impressive, given the number of bodies who were missing against Sheffield United last weekend. PNE’s boss said everyone bar Lewis had trained this week, but that isn’t to say all of the following will return: Odel Offiah, Andrew Hughes, Ben Whiteman, Ali McCann, Callum Lang and Milutin Osmajic.

Southampton

Goalkeeper Alex McCarthy and full-back Mads Roerslev remain long-term absentees for the visitors. Experienced defender Jack Stephens has picked up a calf problem which could keep him out for the Deepdale encounter, though Tonda Eckert hopes to have him available for the play-offs. Kuryu Matsuki also had a calf issue and played no part in midweek, while Flynn Downes is still suspended.

OUT: Jamal Lewis; Alex McCarthy, Mads Roerslev, Flynn Downes. DOUBT: Odel Offiah, Andrew Hughes, Ben Whiteman, Ali McCann, Callum Lang, Milutin Osmajic; Kuryu Matsuki, Jack Stephens.
