With the final stretch of the season approaching it’s a reasonable time to reflect on the transfer business done by Preston North End.
The Lilywhites have added 16 players to their squad over the course of the campaign, with Jamal Lewis snapped up on a free after the summer transfer window shut.
North End then added three more players in January, with loan star Harrison Armstrong of course returning to Everton.
There’s still an opportunity for most of this year’s recruits to impress in the remaining games, but here is our verdict at this stage...

5. Odel Offiah: 7/10
Like with Small, the signing was a popular one due to Offiah's potential as a young player. He's also in his first season at Championship level and there have been some lapses in concentration, which he can hopefully iron out as he gains more experience. Another one for PNE to work really hard with and develop. | CameraSport - Richard Martin-Roberts

6. Daniel Jebbison: 6.5/10
It would be easy to mention injury frustration with the Canadian, but he's played in 33 out of 39 league games. The next step in Jebbison's career will be to start more frequently, with him having managed 18 for Preston. On his day he's been a handful and endeavour is always there. Will be keen to boost his record of six goals and two assists, in the remaining games. | CameraSport - Ian Cook

7. Jack Walton: 3/10
Unfortunately, it's been a tough year for the shot-stopper who, on paper, looked a steady addition as back-up to Iversen. Walton did fine in two of his first three appearances for PNE but there were mistakes against Wrexham, Hull and Middlesbrough. He has not featured since North End's thrashing at the latter, with Dai Cornell preferred for a run of games. Has two years left on his deal and it's important he builds confidence back up, assuming he sticks around. | CameraSport - Rich Linley

8. Michael Smith: 4/10
Started the season brightly and it looked as though he'd play a useful role this season. Smith has still been trusted to come on in games but it hasn't quite worked out as hoped. It's worth noting that North End haven't always played to his strengths. | CameraSport - Rob Newell
