With the final stretch of the season approaching it’s a reasonable time to reflect on the transfer business done by Preston North End.
The Lilywhites have added 16 players to their squad over the course of the campaign, with Jamal Lewis snapped up on a free after the summer transfer window shut.
North End then added three more players in January, with loan star Harrison Armstrong of course returning to Everton.
There’s still an opportunity for most of this year’s recruits to impress in the remaining games, but here is our verdict at this stage...

1. Jordan Thompson: 5/10
Up and down so far. Clearly, a fierce competitor who wants to win, and neat enough in possession. Yet to see the best of him on a consistent basis. There was the big injury blow in the first half of the season and recent water bottle incident. | CameraSport - Richard Martin-Rob

2. Daniel Iversen: 9/10
The only question was whether, after a long time without regular football, Preston would get the same Iversen. Thankfully, they did and he was a huge part of that strong first half of the season. Results during his two-month injury lay-off can be no coincidence. | CameraSport - Rich Linley

3. Pol Valentin: 6.5/10
A very likable character. Valentin is looking to rediscover his best form at the moment, but in the first half of the campaign was often a stand out performer. For the attacking capability he possesses and role he carries out, the Spaniard may hope to have recorded more than two assists. | CameraSport - Richard Martin-Roberts

4. Thierry Small: 6.5/10
As expected with a young player in his first Championship season, it hasn't been plain sailing. Small endured some recent adversity but is back in the picture now, and will be targeting a strong end to the season. There was plenty of hype around the signing and everyone involved must help Small to maximise his potential. A great personality who is so driven to achieve things in his career. | CameraSport - Rich Linley
