Preston North End boss Paul Heckingbottom is searching for the right formula.
The Lilywhites have won one of their last 12 games and dropped to 17th in the table, with four consecutive defeats suffered. Friday night represents the next opportunity for PNE to return to winning ways, as Stoke City make the trip to Deepdale.
Heckingbottom made four changes at Norwich City last weekend and it would be little surprise to see multiple, this evening. Preston will remain without Callum Lang, Ali McCann and Lewis Gibson.
Here is our predicted North End XI to start the match...

9. CAM: Andrew Moran
He has looked bright in the last couple of games and could make his full, home debut against a former club. | CameraSport - Shaun Brooks

10. ST: Lewis Dobbin
He's been a main attacking threat for Preston this season and you'd expect him to start this one. | CameraSport - Richard Martin-Rob

11. ST: Milutin Osmajic
Daniel Jebbison started last time out but Osmajic may return for this one, having played no part against Norwich. He has been declared as 'fine' by Heckingbottom after a minor hamstring issue last weekend. | Getty Images
