Another busy summer looks in the offing at Preston North End.
Loan players will return to their parent clubs, some senior squad members are out of contract and others could well move on.
PNE boss Paul Heckingbottom regularly says each window is an opportunity to improve and that will be the aim.
The Lilywhites spent the first half of the season firmly in the play-off mix but a poor couple of months has seen them drop into the bottom half of the table.
There are seven games left to contest and 21 points to play for but clearly, it would take an incredible run-in for PNE to put themselves back in contention.
With that in mind, we take a look at every member of Heckingbottom’s squad and where they stand heading into the the last few games, then summer 2026...

17. Lewis Gibson
Another who has had niggling injuries. Gibson is an important player when fit and in form. He's got to aim to play 40+ matches next season and make himself a main man. | CameraSport - Rich Linley
18. Alfie Devine
As well documented, there is an expensive buy-option in the loan agreement. Devine's performances this year will no doubt have attracted plenty of attention. He might yet play for in the Championship for Tottenham but if Spurs do stay up, the midfielder won't be short of offers.

19. Milos Lukovic
Has only played 45 minutes for Preston so will be hoping to get on the pitch across the remaining seven games. | CameraSport - Rich Linley

20. Andrew Moran
A younger player with potential, who should be a key man next season. He caught the eye in games prior to the international break. | CameraSport - Shaun Brooks
