Another busy summer looks in the offing at Preston North End.
Loan players will return to their parent clubs, some senior squad members are out of contract and others could well move on.
PNE boss Paul Heckingbottom regularly says each window is an opportunity to improve and that will be the aim.
The Lilywhites spent the first half of the season firmly in the play-off mix but a poor couple of months has seen them drop into the bottom half of the table.
There are seven games left to contest and 21 points to play for but clearly, it would take an incredible run-in for PNE to put themselves back in contention.
With that in mind, we take a look at every member of Heckingbottom’s squad and where they stand heading into the the last few games, then summer 2026...

13. Jordan Thompson
It's been an up and down maiden campaign at PNE for Thompson. He penned a two-year deal and will want to make more of an impact next season. There have been glimpses of what he can offer. | CameraSport - Shaun Brooks

14. Andrew Hughes
The Welshman's deal expires this summer but it wouldn't be a surprise if his stay was extended. He's continued to be first choice at left centre-back when fit. | CameraSport - Ian Cook

15. Lewis Dobbin
The Aston Villa man's productive loan spell should attract plenty of suitors this summer. One you'd be surprised PNE to stand any chance of signing. | CameraSport - Rich Linley

16. Jamal Lewis
Had a couple of decent games around the new year but with a deal until the end of the season signed, a stay beyond then looks unlikely at this juncture. | CameraSport - Richard Martin-Roberts
