Preston North End handed Carabao Cup trip to Premier League Wolves

The glamour tie at Molineux is Preston’s reward for Tuesday night’s 4-1 first-round win at Huddersfield, which saw them score their first goals of the season following two 0-0 draws in the Championship.

Other standout ties include Everton going to Fleetwood, while Leeds have a Yorkshire derby with Barnsley, while Leicester go to Stockport, newly promoted to League Two from the National League.

Thirteen Premier League sides enter the competition in round two, along with Championship clubs Watford and Burnley. The remaining seven top-flight clubs – including holders Liverpool – will be in the hat for the third round. All second-round ties will take place in the week beginning August 22.
