The Lilywhites were outmatched in the Lancashire derby, with Nathan Tella scoring a hat-trick to give the Clarets all three points and their 10th win on the spin.
PNE managed just two shots on target in the game and managed on 30 per cent possession in the contest on what was a tough afternoon for Ryan Lowe’s men.
Here’s how we rated them on the day...
9. Ben Woodburn - 5
It seemed like the Welshman was put into the side to help with pressing Burnley as they played out from the back but he didn't do that, nor did he help out much defensively or in possession. A strange role. Photo: CameraSport - Alex Dodd
10. Robbie Brady - 5
Brady was given the runaround by Nathan Tella who, in Brady's defence, was in stunning form. Too much room in behind him to exploit and when he did get close, Tella would leave him for dead. Photo: CameraSport - Rich Linley
11. Liam Delap - 5
When the ball went into Cannon you could see the trouble he was having and the work he was having to do, with Delap it wasn't really getting that far. Willing runner but little quality on the day. Photo: CameraSport - Rich Linley
12. Tom Cannon - 6
Cannon was left to battle over every touch and did his best with what he had but with no support and plenty of Clarets shirts around him, he got little out of the game. Photo: CameraSport - Rich Linley
