All you need to know ahead of the Carabao Cup fourth round draw which will include Preston North End, Southampton, and Brentford.

Preston North End reached the fourth round of the Carabao Cup as they claimed a Premier League scalp by beating Fulham on penalties.

Ryan Ledson scored the decisive spot-kick as North End beat the Cottagers 16-15 on penalties after Timothy Castagne blasted his effort from 12-yards over the bar. PNE had gone in front through Ledson, but Reiss Nelson equalised in the second-half. However, Paul Heckingbottom’s men held their nerve when it mattered most, and now they can prepare themselves for the draw.

It's the first time they've reached round four since 2021 and back then they went out to Liverpool, in front of a crowd of 22,131. North End could play some of the big boys again after Manchester United made easy work of Barnsley, defeating them 7-0, whilst there's some of the other Premier League giants who are still yet to play.

When is the Carabao Cup draw?

The draw usually takes place on the Wednesday when all the ties are wrapped up. However, a change to the format - to accommodate the expansion of the Champions League - means some ties will be played at a later date. The Carabao Cup fourth-round draw will take place on Wednesday, September 25 - following the conclusion of Liverpool versus West Ham, which kicks off at 8.00 pm.

If you watch Liverpool v West Ham, then just stay on the same channel as that. The game will be shown on Sky Sports Main Event, Sky Sports Football, and Sky Sports Ultra HDR. When will the Carabao Cup fourth round be played?

Ties will be played on the week commencing of Monday, October 28. North End are away at Plymouth Argyle on Saturday, October 26, and then play Bristol City at home on Saturday, November 2.
