Watch adorable seal splashing about and having fun in the sea in Blackpool
An adorable seal has been captured on a camera splashing about and having fun in the sea.
Joel Dainty who captured the heartwarming moment and placed it on his TikTok, said: “I was really impressed when I saw this on my dog walk with my Mrs down the prom of Blackpool.”

Why do seals wash up on shore?
Seals wash up on beaches for reasons such as resting, digesting, giving birth, or molting, but also due to distress from storms, separation from mothers (especially pups), disease (like bird flu), poisoning (algal blooms), entanglement, or human impacts like pollution, though sometimes it's just normal life cycles and recovery after bad weather.
A seal on the beach isn't always in trouble, but if it seems sick, injured, or is a very young pup, it should be reported to wildlife rescue.
