A man who racially abused a petrol station worker before spitting in the faces of two police officers has been sentenced.
Jordan Longworth, 24, was arrested after an incident at the Essar fuel station in Market Street, Adlington, on October 20.
Lancashire Police said officers were called to reports of a car crashing into the petrol station, followed by a fight involving three men.

Two of the men fled before officers arrived, while police spoke to the third man, Longworth. He then ran from the scene before returning, where he resisted arrest.
Longworth was eventually detained and placed in the back of a police van.
While inside the van, he repeatedly shouted racist abuse at a petrol station worker, with the racial language continuing after he was taken into custody.
He then spat in the faces of two police officers and elbowed one of them in the face.

Longworth, of Kemble Close, Horwich, was charged with racially aggravated harassment and two offences of assaulting a police officer.
He pleaded guilty to the offences and was sentenced at Preston Magistrates’ Court on October 22. He was handed a 12-week prison sentence, suspended for 12 months.
Longworth was also ordered to complete a four-month alcohol treatment requirement and a rehabilitation activity requirement. He must also pay £200 in compensation.
