'Valuable reassurance' - Life-saving debrillator donated to Warton children's nursery
“Having a defibrillator installed on site gives our staff, families and the wider community valuable reassurance that this potential life-saving equipment is available should it ever be needed.”
A new life-saving defibrillator and cabinet has been installed at Chuckles Nursery, Warton, thanks to a donation from local housing developer Applethwaite Homes.
The developer donated £1,500 towards the purchase of the defibrillator, which is now in place and available at the nursery site, providing an important emergency resource for children, families, staff and the wider local community.
The installation forms part of Applethwaite Homes’ and the Wreacroft development’s ongoing commitment to working with and supporting the local community. It also reflects Applethwaite’s wider commitment to investing in initiatives that make a meaningful difference to local residents.

Samantha Palin, Sales Director at Applethwaite Homes, said: “We’re delighted to have been able to support Chuckles Nursery with funding for this defibrillator. While we hope it is never needed, having access to life-saving equipment close at hand can make a vital difference in an emergency.
“Supporting local facilities and people who use them is an important part of our commitment to the community.”
Chuckles Nursery Manager, Sarah, said: “We are incredibly grateful to Applethwaite Homes for their generous donation. Having a defibrillator installed on site gives our staff, families and the wider community valuable reassurance that this potential life-saving equipment is available should it ever be needed.”
