Fire crews rescue person trapped in car after Preston crash

A person who was left trapped in a car following a collision in Preston was rescued by fire crews.

Emergency services were called to reports two cars had been involved in a smash on Rosemary Lane at around 11.05am today (September 21).

Two fire engines from Fulwood and Penwortham rushed to the scene alongside paramedics.

Firefighters released a casualty who had become trapped in one of the vehicles before handing them over to the care of ambulance crews.

North West Ambulance Service has been approached for comment.
