Cyclist taken to hospital after crash in Buckshaw Village

A woman has been taken to hospital after she was knocked off her bike in Buckshaw Village today (Sunday, February 21).

The woman was injured after being hit by a car on a roundabout in Central Drive at 10.40am.

Police closed the roundabout for around 30 minutes whilst the woman, who was conscious, was treated by ambulance crews.

She was then helped into an ambulance and taken to Royal Preston Hospital for further treatment.

Her injuries are not believed to be serious.

Lancashire Police and North West Ambulance Service have been approached for further details.
