Buses warning as work is carried out on Preston's Fishergate

They have tweeted:."For most of next week Fishergate will be closed and buses will be required to use Ringway outbound between the Bus Station and the Railway Station."

The bus company has said Brook Street from Victoria Street to Fylde Road will be closed to all traffic to August 16 to facilitate highway improvement and installation of traffic lights.

During this road closure, service 31 and 44 will operate as follows:

Outbound: The route from will take the normal route from the Bus Station to Friargate then it will divert via – Moor Lane, Victoria Street, Adelphi Street, Plungington Road, Eldon Street and then resume the normal route.

Inbound: The route will be the reverse of above.

During this road closure, service 23 will operate as follows:

Outbound: The route from will take the normal route from the Bus Station to Friargate then divert via – Moor Lane, Victoria Street, Adelphi Street, Plungington Road and then resume the normal route.

Inbound: The route will be the reverse of above.

During this diversion all bus stops along this route will be in use.

The 23 service will revert back to its normal route of Adelphi Street and serve the Plungington local centre.
