This is when Leyland's free Music In The Town event is back this year

Leyland’s growing music event, Music In The Town, is back for a fourth year.

Organisers, Leyland Town Team, have announced the free event will be held from 12-6.30pm on Saturday, May 2, with stalls open from 11.30pm.

All of the action will be concentrated on Hough Lane.

Visitors can expect DJ sets, live music, food and drink, childrens rides and activities, and a display of vintage vehicles. Music In The Park favourites Boomin’ will be playing their set at 4.30pm.

A spokesman said: “Put the date in your diary now – it’s going to be an unforgettable afternoon of brilliant music, great vibes and simply the best of times!”

This event is separate to the Music In The Park event, a retro-themed concert in Worden Park running annually since 2022, but which has now been axed amid a surge in the prices charged by artists on the concert circuit – and no sign of the gig breaking even anytime soon.
