Revealed: The 15 Preston GP surgeries where you can see preferred professional ranked from best to worst

Ipsos surveyed patients across Preston on their interactions with their local GP surgeries

A survey has revealed the GP surgeries in Preston where you are most likely to see or speak to your preffered professional according to patient feedback.

Every two years, a national GP Patient Survey is produced by Ipsos on behalf of NHS England which looks at how patients view their experience with their GP.

The biennial survey looks at a variety of factors including how easy it is to contact a GP, how helpful staff are and an overall judgment on whether they conside the service ‘good’.

The most recent GP Patient survey was published in 2025, with the next one not due until 2027.

Previously, we have looked at how the 15 GP surgeries in Preston compare with each other across the three aforementioned categories, which you can take a look at with the links below:

In this piece however, we are turning our attention to how often patients at each practice “usually get to see or speak to their preferred healthcare professional when they would like to”.

When you have a medical concern, for greater ease of mind, many of us may have a specific professional in mind we hope to talk to about it.

This of course however is not always possible given the pressures placed on the NHS day-in-day-out.
