Everything you need to know as Preston Bus announces huge fare changes
Below is everything you need to know about fare changes on the way at Preston Bus.
Preston Bus has announced some big changes to its fares, starting this weekend.
The Preston operator is reducing the cost of some of its most popular tickets this summer, with selected day, weekly and 28-day fares cut as part of a new “Big Summer Fare Cut” campaign.

From Sunday, June 14, customers will be able to travel for less on a range of Preston Bus tickets, with selected fares reduced by up to over 80%.
The changes are designed to make local bus travel more affordable for customers travelling to work, heading into Preston, visiting friends and family, shopping, studying, or enjoying days out over the summer.
The fare reductions include lower prices on popular EasiDay, EasiWeek and Easi28Day tickets, as well as savings on multi-day bundles available through the Preston Bus app.

Matt Rawlinson, Managing Director of Preston Bus, said: “We know that affordable fares make a real difference to our customers. By cutting prices across some of our most popular tickets, we want to make it easier for people to get out and about this summer — whether that’s for work, shopping, leisure or visiting friends and family. If you haven’t used the bus for a while, now is a great time to give it another try.”
Preston Bus says that The Big Summer Fare Cut is intended to support everyday journeys across its network and encourage more people to consider bus travel for local trips.
With lower prices available on selected adult, under 19, group, weekly and 28- day tickets, they say the campaign will help customers choose the best- value ticket for their journey, whether they travel occasionally or more regularly.
Customers buying through the Preston Bus app will also benefit from savings on selected products, including the Adult EasiWeek app ticket and multi-day bundles such as Easi5Day and Easi10Day.
Preston Bus has also confirmed that its popular £4.20 day return fare is now available on Service 35 to and from Tanterton.
With buses running up to every 10 minutes from Tanterton and Ingol, Preston Bus says Service 35 offers a fast, frequent and good-value way to travel into Preston and back, without the cost or hassle of parking.
Customers can continue to pay using Tap&Go, which allows passengers to tap a contactless card or device when boarding.
