Preston and Darwen firefighters save horse trapped in horsebox in Samlesbury

Last night (August 16), firefighters spent over an hour saving a horse trapped in a horsebox in Samlesbury.

At 10:30 pm, two fire engines from Preston and Darwen attended the rescue of a horse trapped on its side in a horse transit vehicle on Preston New Road in Samlesbury.

Firefighters used a salvage sheet to assist the horse from the box.

Crews were in attendance for approximately one hour and 15 minutes.
