Have your say on how Lancashire County Council should save £79m from its £2.2bn budget
Difficult decisions are on the horizon.
Residents, businesses and community groups are being invited to help shape Lancashire County Council’s next budget - which is expected to require savings of £79m.
A public consultation has been launched asking people to take a short online survey about their priorities.
The authority, whose gross budget is around £2.2bn, is responsible for services including adult and children’s social care - which accounts for the largest proportion of the finance pot - highways, schools and public health.

To help it the make the decisions that lie ahead about protecting its essential functions, County Hall says it wants to hear what matters most to people across Lancashire - and understand their views on how the authority should spend taxpayers' money.
County Coun Stephen Atkinson, the Reform UK leader of Lancashire County Council, said: "We're asking people to take a few minutes to complete the survey, as their feedback will help inform the proposals considered by councillors.
"We know household budgets are under pressure - and local government is facing a difficult financial position with demand for services rising significantly.
"We are working hard to make sure every pound of taxpayers' money is spent wisely, and hearing what matters most to people will help us make the right choices.
"We remain committed to making this council the best in the country and delivering high-quality services for Lancashire.
"Every response to the consultation will help us plan for a better Lancashire for residents and businesses."
To take part in the survey, visit lancashire.gov.uk/council/finance/planning-the-councils-budget by 2nd December.
The final budget will be decided at a meeting on 25 February, 2027.
