Rosemere Cancer Foundation has thanked a Preston accountants office for their “wonderful donation”.

An accountancy firm in Preston has donated offer £10,000 to a local charity very close to their hearts.
Staff from the Preston office of RSM UK Tax and Accounting Ltd have donated £10,134 to Rosemere Cancer Foundation after choosing the charity as their office’s charity of the year for 2025.
Colleagues baked and sold cakes, ran a tuck shop, took part in quizzes and took on Rosemere Cancer Foundation’s annual Cross Bay Walk and a firewalking challenge over hot coals to raise their donation, which charity committee chair and tax manager Sarah Brown presented to Rosemere’s fundraising manager Sue Swire.
Sarah said: “Our office votes for a new charity to support annually from a shortlist of nominations. Last year, Rosemere Cancer Foundation, which is a cause close to many colleagues’ hearts, achieved about 49% of the votes. We are very grateful to our clients, family members and friends, who supported our fundraising efforts.”
Sue said: “Our thanks to everyone at the Preston office of RSM UK Tax and Accounting Ltd and everyone associated with them for this wonderful donation, which will go towards a variety of projects to improve the treatment journey of local cancer patients.”
Rosemere Cancer Foundation works to bring world class cancer treatments and services to cancer patients from throughout Lancashire and South Cumbria being treated at Rosemere Cancer Centre, which is the region’s specialist cancer treatment and radiotherapy centre at the Royal Preston Hospital, and also at another eight local hospital cancer units across the two counties.
The charity funds cutting-edge equipment, clinical research, staff training and innovative services and initiatives that the NHS cannot afford in order to make patients’ cancer journey more effective, comfortable and stress-free.
