7. April - Triple birthday celebrations
Lancashire’s oldest set of triplets were not able to celebrate their milestone 70th birthday together for the first time, due to the coronavirus outbreak. Instead of a party for more than 100 family members from as far away as New Zealand, Pauline Yeowart, Teresa Ashcroft and John Wareing celebrated in isolation with their respective husbands and wife.

8. April - PPE crisis
A group of Lancashire people rallied to help address the PPE crisis, using thousands of their own savings to sew scrubs and masks for healthcare workers in Lancashire.
