This time last year few of us could have predicted what would become one of the toughest years in Lancashire' s history.
People across the region have experienced unprecedented restrictions on our communities, the loss of loved ones, as well as heartwarming moments of true kindness and support.
Here are just some of the moments that have informed and touched us this year:

21. November - Christmas card appeal
The Post launched an appeal to encourage readers to send a Christmas card to people living in care homes who have been left isolated during the pandemic. Hundreds of you responded.

22. November - Businesses fall through the crack
We told the stories of a number of groups of individuals and small businesses that feel they have 'fallen through the cracks' and are not eligible for financial support during the pandemic. Lynn Thomas was among many people who haven't been eligible for government grants in lockdown.

23. December - Tram vision for Preston
Preston could have its own tram service in little more than a year after the group behind plans to bring the vehicles back to the city was given the green light to carry out test runs to prove that its vision is possible. A 200-metre stretch of disused railway track in Ribbleton will be the test track.

24. December - Cuadrilla gives up Lancashire licence
Cuadrilla, The only firm to have carried out horizontal fracking for gas in the UK gave up its Lancashire licence in the face of the Government's moratorium. The company, which drilled and fracked two wells at Preston New Road near Little Plumpton, surrendered the licence it was granted for the county.
