Co-op celebrating Lostock Hall and Bamber Bridge heroes

Co-op staff in Lostock Hall and Bamber Bridge have been celebrating local heroes and helping to fight against food poverty.

Martina Nicholson and Jane Johnson at Bamber Bridge Co-op Funeralcare made and presented made “Co-op Local Hero” certificates to a trio of caring residents who have been helping their community.

Bamber Bridge woman, Bonita O’Brien, was rewarded for making up gift bags to deliver to key workers.

Meanwhile, school pupil Sophia Rose has been recognised for giving bracelets to key workers and gifts to children with rainbows in their windows while Lostock Hall boy Joshua Blackwell has been holding online raffles for New Day Church Foodbank and has raised more than £1,000.

Also, the Lostock Hall Co-op food store has been donating leftover perishable goods to the foodbank.

Co-Op
