Morecambe coastguard called out to walker stuck in mud in Morecambe Bay
and on Freeview 262 or Freely 565
Morecambe coastguard was called out at 09.53am today, Friday to reports someone was stuck in the mud in Morecambe.
The team immediately called for the Morecambe RNLI crew and their hovercraft was immediately launched.

Hide AdAble to get across the unstable mud they reached the casualty and quickly extracted them to safety.
A spokesman for Morecambe Coastguard said: "The sands in the Morecambe Bay Area are very unstable and you can quickly find yourself in a sticky situation.
"The area we were called to has changed over the past couple of months and used to regularly have people walk over it.
"The casualty was a local who had often walked that route, please take extra care as anyone can get caught out.
"Remember if in danger on or around our coastline call 999 and ask for the coastguard."
