Here's who will be hosting this year's Blackpool illuminations
The hosts of this year’s world famous Blackpool Illuminations switch on have been announced.
The landmark event in the resort’s year will be hosted by BBC Radio Lancashire presenters Graham Liver and Sharon Hartley.
A spokesman for the pair said: “They are jumping for joy to be part of the biggest night in Blackpool’s event calendar.”
The station will also be showcasing some of Blackpool’s up and coming artists through BBC Introducing.
Visit Blackpool say more Illuminations switch-on details will be announced over the coming weeks.
Last year, pop star Olly Murs and Louisa Johnson performed at the big event.
This year’s switch on is scheduled for Friday, September 4.
And the display will be on every night until January 3, 2027.
