A family of barn owls snuggled up in the wall of an old barn.

The owls were seen flying in and out of an old barn in Lancashire on the evening of July 28. Retired factory worker Keith Bannister, 75, watched as four owls appeared one after the other - as one parent supervised and one went out hunting for food.
Keith, from Burnley, Lancashire, said: "It was amazing to see them. I love barn owls. I felt very lucky.
"I want to thank my friend Steve who gave me the tip off. We didn't think we'd see so many of them."

Keith and Steve stood 50 metres away in full camo against a hedge so the birds didn't see them.
They waited 15 minutes and the first chick appeared and they watched for a full two hours.
Keith who shared the story on Sell Us Your Story said: "They were lovely, just lining up one after the other. They would not have done that if they knew we were there."
