Ribbleton man still wanted 6 weeks after woman is raped in Preston

A man from Ribbleton is still wanted by police six weeks after he was named as a 'person of interest' in a rape investigation.

Police are still searching for Michael Foster, 32, from Moor Nook, who is wanted in connection with a rape reported in the early hours of July 11.

A woman in her 20s was attacked at her home in the city, and four days later, Lancashire Police named Foster as a 'wanted man' in their investigation.

The force renewed its appeal on July 24, after Foster failed to come forward to speak to detectives.

More than six weeks have now passed and Foster continues to evade police.

Det Con Sue Wilson, of Preston CID, said: "We are keen to speak to Michael Foster and would urge him to come forward as soon as possible.

"We want to speak to him in connection with a rape investigation in Preston.
