Residents warned to 'remain vigilant' after four burglaries in the Kirkham area

Four houses have been burgled in and around Kirkham, prompting police to remind residents to keep their homes secure.

Three of the burglaries took place in properties in the Dowbridge area of Kirkham, and one occurred at a home in Kirkham Road, Freckleton.

All of the offences took place between 6.50pm and 8.40pm on January 25.

Police believe the same offender committed all four burglaries and entered the homes via patio doors and rear windows.

Officers are now reminding residents to keep their homes secure and to report anything suspicious.

A spokesman for Lancashire Police said: "Please remain vigilant and keep properties (including windows), locked and secure and remove any valuables from sight.

"If you see anything suspicious please call 101, or, if there is a crime in progress, 999."
