What happened?
Emergency services, including rapid response paramedics, were called to the scene near the Houndshill Shopping Centre on Saturday afternoon.
Reports from the scene said the dog was wearing a collar or harness warning people not to approach due to its nervous nature. However, the dog was not muzzled.
The husky was said to be ‘calm’ and the owner in control of his dog after the attack. Those at the scene said the dog was quietly led on the floor while the emergency services responded.
The dog was seized by police and taken away in a van.
