The moment a car smashes into several parked vehicles in Preston

This is the moment a fast moving car clipped several stationary vehicles on a narrow Preston street before smashing into another and destroying it.

The incident, which occurred on St Georges Road in the Deepdale area at 5.18am this morning, was captured on CCTV.

Police were quickly on the scene and arrested the driver of the Toyota C-HR, who was treated for minor injuries.

Inspector Andy Willis, of Lancashire Police, said: "We have arrested the driver of the Toyota on suspicion of dangerous driving and drug driving.

"He suffered minor injuries and was treated in hospital.

"The passenger was unhurt and has not been charged."

Deepdale Community Association stated on social media: "Recently we have noticed many speeding cars in residential areas as the roads are more clear and drivers are taking advantage of this."

The Association is calling for a greater police presence.
