A road race has raised £2,000 for Rosemere Cancer Foundation.
Runners took part in the annual City of Preston Road Race, and organisers chose Rosemere as the race’s official charity.
It received £1 for every entrant plus a donation for supplying route marshalls for the 10-mile race and its tandem five mile run, which were sponsored by Preston and Chorley based solicitors Marsden Rawsthorn.

It also received a number of free places for runners willing to be sponsored to race in its name.
Dan Hill, head of fund-raising at Rosemere, said: “We would like to thank Michael Brennand and his race team for choosing Rosemere Cancer Foundation as official race charity. We also wish to thank Marsden Rawsthorn for covering its staging costs, which freed up the funds for us to receive this donation, and everyone who entered and spectated to make the event so successful.”
