Can anyone find our Peggy?

She's a 5ft 2in 'dizzy blonde' and has been propping up the bar in the city centre Black Horse pub since January.

But Peggy went missing at the weekend and now locals fear the leggy lady in red has been kidnapped.

So the historic alehouse in Friargate has put out an urgent missing persons appeal in a desperate bid to get the lifesize cardboard cut-out back.

“Peggy might only have been here since the start of the year, but she’s already part of the furniture,” said landlord Dan Taylor. “The staff are upset and so too are our customers. One minute she was there in her spot at the end of the bar and the next she wasn’t.”

A poster has been posted on social media says: “Have you seen this woman? Name: Peggy. AKA: Dizzy Blonde. Last seen: Propping up the bar in the Black Horse.”

Dan added: “She has been really popular and we just want her back. If anyone has her then please bring her back. Just hand her in and we won’t say any more about it.”
