The sport-themed event, which took place in the city’s Flag Market was part of Lancashire Encounter and boasted a host of livewire entertainment for the huge crowds.

Hundreds gathered on the flag market to watch acts such as Kelly Wilde, Eva Fox and Sally Hamriding.

Most who attended were sporting their rainbow coloured flags in support of the event and the atmosphere turned up a notch when the Kings and Queens drag parade took to the stage.

A panel of judges picked their winners after the entrants took part in an applauded dance-off competition.

Dawn Vickers, Fabba, Preston Musical Comedy Show Choir and many more also entertained the crowd whose enthusiasm never wavered.

The fun continued well into the afternoon with the rain holding off for most of the day.
