Bamber Bridge girl, 16, found "safe and well" after 4-day disappearance

A 16-year-old girl who had been reported missing from home in Bamber Bridge has been found "safe and well".

Kayleigh Rees had last been seen on Wednesday at 8pm and police said her family had been "increasingly concerned" about her welfare.

But officers in Preston confirmed yesterday afternoon (Sunday, September 27) that the teenager has been found "safe and well".

The force has thanked people for sharing the appeal online and helping Kayleigh return home safely.
