Professor Robert Thomas is a full-time NHS Consultant Oncologist at Addenbrooke's and Bedford Hospitals. He is also a Clinical Teacher at Cambridge University, a Professor of Sports and Nutritional Science at the University of Bedfordshire, and the author of the book "How to Live".
He leads a Lifestyle Research Unit that designs and conducts national studies to evaluate the impact of exercise, diet, gut health, and natural therapies on cancer, long COVID and other chronic diseases, as well as on exercise performance.
These studies have been published in hundreds of scientific journals, influencing practices worldwide. For this work, he has been awarded the "Hospital Doctor of the Year" by Hospital Doctor Magazine and "Oncologist of the Year" by The British Oncology Association.
