Handling the Bard in Hoghton

Four actors, four bicycles, 40 characters and a 926-mile adventure.

For two months, the HandleBards, an all-male troupe of travelling players, will be travelling from Glasgow to London, carrying with them all the set, props and costumes needed to perform some of Shakespeare’s greatest plays.

Join them at Hoghton Tower this month where they will be performing Romeo and Juliet on Friday, 19 and Twelfth Night on Saturday, 20.

Doors open 6pm for picnics with the performances beginning at 7pm
