Dedicated to bringing the best folk to this area, the Friends of Folk describe the UFQ as a truly “knockout” booking for the venue.

UFQ are a truly international band, and foreign tours and globally influenced music have been at the heart of what they do since day one, when in June 2009 their first four gigs took place in four different countries.

Since then the UFQ – four accomplished musicians, a dozen instruments and four voices – have blazed a trail across the world, playing
everywhere from secluded coves to 30,000 capacity festival fields, igniting audiences and winning a fan base from the Bay of Biscay to the edge of the North Pacific.

Friends of Folk organiser Jim Minall said: “Once again I am pleasantly amazed that such talented musicians have taken up the invite to come to New Longton.

“The UFQ are following in the footsteps of famous folk artists such Julie Felix, Peter Knight, Ashley Hutchings and many more in taking the stage at this friendly venue.”

The night starts at 8pm and tickets (£13) are available online at www.fofshop.com or can be reserved by calling Jim Minall on 07971-243809.
