First Friends’ festival of folk is tonight
The first gig of the Friends of Folk autumn programme is at New Longton Village Hall tonight from 8pm.
Entertainment for the evening will be provided by the resident artists from The Bothy Folk Club in Southport. This includes Kevin Littlewood, probably best known for writing ‘On Morecambe Bay’, along with Chris & Siobhan Nelson, Pete Rimmer, Bill Hackney, Ray Rooney, Bev Sanders, Neville Grundy, Keith Price , David Hirst and Clive Pownceby.
