Two Lancashire teachers launch Bloom Curriculum to make learning more accessible for families and educators

After nearly two years of development, Lancashire teachers Rebekah Walne and Hannah Jezeph have officially launched Bloom Curriculum, a new education business designed to support both families and educators through practical, engaging and accessible learning resources.

Founded on years of classroom experience and a shared passion for education, Bloom Curriculum was created to tackle a challenge familiar to many teachers and parents alike: how to make learning meaningful, enjoyable and achievable without adding unnecessary pressure or workload.

Having worked across a range of educational settings, the founders saw firsthand the increasing demands placed on teachers and the challenges many families face in supporting learning beyond the classroom. Bloom Curriculum was born from a desire to bridge that gap by creating high-quality resources that inspire curiosity, encourage creativity and make learning accessible to all.

"We know how much time, energy and dedication go into creating engaging learning experiences," said Co-Director Rebekah. "As teachers ourselves, we wanted to develop resources that genuinely support both educators and families, whilst keeping children's enjoyment of learning at the heart of everything we do."

Based in Lancashire, Bloom Curriculum has ambitious growth plans. While its long-term vision focuses on supporting schools through curriculum planning, teaching resources and workload-reducing solutions for educators, the business has chosen to launch with a product aimed directly at families.

Its first product, the Summer Fun Parent Pack, has been developed to help children continue learning throughout the summer holidays in a way that feels fun, flexible and pressure-free.

Available for EYFS, KS1 and KS2 children, the packs provide parents with a wide range of curriculum-linked activities, creative challenges and practical learning opportunities that can be completed at home, outdoors or within the local community. Rather than replicating traditional schoolwork, the packs encourage children to explore, create, investigate and learn through real-life experiences.

Two versions of the pack are available. Level 1 offers an accessible bank of activity ideas for families to dip into throughout the summer, whilst Level 2 provides a more structured six-week programme complete with printable resources and activities across a range of curriculum subjects.

The founders hope the packs will help address the well-documented issue of summer learning loss whilst also giving parents confidence and inspiration to support their children's development during the school break.

"Our aim was never to create more work for parents," explains Hannah. "We wanted to create something that helps families enjoy learning together, whether that's through a science investigation in the garden, a maths challenge at the supermarket or a creative writing activity inspired by a family day out."

The launch marks the beginning of an exciting journey for Bloom Curriculum. Alongside future family-focused resources, the business is currently developing a range of teacher planning tools, curriculum resources and innovative educational products designed to reduce workload whilst enhancing learning experiences for children.

With education remaining at the heart of everything they do, the founders hope Bloom Curriculum will become a trusted resource for schools, educators and families across Lancashire and beyond.

As the business enters its next chapter, its mission remains simple: to help learning bloom through creativity, accessibility and meaningful experiences that support every child's potential.
